Summary
Hot Legs Video Nite Club opened in late 1984 in the former Shadows bar space on South 2nd Street, run by co-owners Kathy and Karen. For a time it was Milwaukee's leading lesbian bar, fielding a softball team, hosting shows and contests, and serving as an anchor venue for the 1986 MAPFest fundraiser benefiting the Milwaukee AIDS Project. The Hot Legs softball team represented Milwaukee at the 1987 Gay World Series.
The bar closed around that time, amid competition from other lesbian bars, and the building's owner soon reopened the space as Shadows II.
