Walker's Point

Walker's Point is Milwaukee's historic LGBTQ+ neighborhood on the city's near south side. From the mid-twentieth century onward, South 2nd Street and surrounding blocks became the densest concentration of gay and lesbian bars, clubs, and community spaces in Wisconsin — including early taverns, women's bars, leather bars, and later restaurants and performance venues. The neighborhood remains a cultural anchor for Milwaukee Pride events, including the annual Pride parade route along South 2nd Street.
