Tic Toc Club
Milwaukee
Summary
Tic Toc Club was a Milwaukee nightclub at 634 N. 5th Street, opened in 1940 by Albert Tusa. One of the city's first air-conditioned nightclubs, it was nationally noted for its Gardenia Room dinner theater and booked major entertainers of the era. It was a frequent host of the touring Jewel Box Revue, a drag troupe whose Milwaukee runs reportedly outsold the club's other bookings.
Despite its prominence, Tusa was unable to make it profitable, and the club was sold at auction in 1955; Tusa went on to run the Pink Pony.
