Mama Roux Bar Americain & Grill

Milwaukee

Summary

Mama Roux Bar Americain & Grill opened in March 1994 on Milwaukee's near east side, a few blocks south of Brady Street, and was believed to be owned by Jim Rodell. Advertising as 'Your Eastside Alternative,' it was a roomy and popular neighborhood bar favored for parties and gatherings. The bar was also known for its restaurant, which served Cajun-influenced fare and was especially popular for its Friday fish fry. It closed in early 1999, just short of its fifth anniversary.
